The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles (Huntersville, NC), 9-0 in Monday's league challenge.
The Gryphons now hold a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sugar Creek Charter for a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A contest on Wednesday, October 1. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 10-1 league win over Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-10.
The Eagles (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Stallions enter the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Queen's Grant beat Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC), 2-1, in a league contest.
