Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL), 5-0 in a league outing.

The Terriers (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau, MO). The Bulldogs enter the non-league outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Notre Dame was overwhelmed by South Warren (Bowling Green, KY), 3-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Orphans confront the Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, October 1. Centralia will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Midgets enter the outing with a 6-7 record after their 9-0 league win over Roxana (Roxana, IL).
