Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ) and the host Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ), saw Lakeland Regional's soccer squad hold off Passaic Valley by a count of 2-1.

The Lancers (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Pompton Lakes (Pompton Lakes, NJ). The Cardinals come into the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Pompton Lakes was edged by Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Hornets confront the Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 30. Passaic Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Paladins enter the battle with a 1-7 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ).
