Fans at Monday's league battle between the Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) and the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), saw Manteo's soccer squad triumph over Perquimans by a count of 10-1.

The Redskins (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Red Barons enter the Albemarle (AAC) 2A battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Gates County was overwhelmed by Holmes (Edenton, NC), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Pirates battle the Camden County Bruins (Camden, NC) in a Albemarle (AAC) 2A test, on Wednesday, October 1. Perquimans will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Bruins come into the test with a 9-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Holmes (Edenton, NC).
