Georgia High School Softball - Claxton held off by Pinewood Christian

In Monday's non-league test, the Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA) softball squad got by the visiting Claxton Tigers (Claxton, GA), by a tally of 12-11.

Next, the Patriots meet the Bulloch Academy Gators (Statesboro, GA) in a GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 2 test, on Thursday, October 2. Pinewood Christian will attempt to advance on its 10-10 season record.

The Tigers (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The War Eagles go into the 1A D-II Region 3 test with a 8-11 record. In their last outing, Jenkins County was tipped by Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA), 8-0, in a league outing.
