Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Appalachian Eagles (Oneonta, AL) and the visiting Locust Fork Hornets (Locust Fork, AL), observed Appalachian's volleyball team top Locust Fork by a count of 2-0.

The Eagles (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson Christian Academy (Birmingham, AL). The Eagles go into the 1A Area 11 battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Jefferson Christian Academy dropped by Ragland (Ragland, AL), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Hornets now own a 2-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleveland for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 2.
