Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) and the visiting Bishop Fenwick Crusaders (Peabody, MA), observed Newburyport's volleyball team top Bishop Fenwick by a count of 3-0.

The Clippers (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Essex Tech (Hathorne, MA). The Hawks go into the battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Essex Tech achieved victory over Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Crusaders now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Archbishop Williams for a Catholic Central - Large challenge on Tuesday, September 30. Bishop Fenwick will meet a Bishops team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Cardinal Spellman (Brockton, MA). The Bishops record now stands at 4-4.
