In Monday's non-league match, the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) volleyball team held off the visiting Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA), by a margin of 3-2.

The Warriors now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Shelby Valley for a District 59 bout on Tuesday, September 30. East Ridge will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 24-4.

With the loss, Grundy drops to 14-5 on the campaign. The Golden wave travel to Hurley (Hurley, VA) to clash with the Rebels in a Black Diamond bout on Tuesday, September 30. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 0-8. Hurley lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against Council (Council, VA)
