Fans at Monday's league contest between the Moreau Catholic Mariners (Hayward, CA) and the visiting Irvington Vikings (Fremont, CA), observed Moreau Catholic's volleyball team top Irvington by a tally of 3-0.

The Mariners (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against James Logan (Union City, CA). The Colts enter the Mission Valley contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, James Logan beat Jesuit (Portland, OR), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Vikings meet the Mission San Jose Warriors (Fremont, CA) in a Mission Valley test, on Tuesday, September 30. Irvington will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 11-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Newark Memorial (Newark, CA).
