In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Pine River-Backus Tigers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies.

The Tigers (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Blackduck (Blackduck, MN). The Drakes come into the Northwoods test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Blackduck went down by Lake of the Woods (Baudette, MN), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Huskies now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hinckley-Finlayson for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 30. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Mora (Mora, MN). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-8.
