The Whitefield Academy Lions prevailed the host St. Joseph Defenders Defenders volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Monday's league game.

Next up, the Lions confront the New Hope Christian Phoenix (Smithville, MO) in a Midwest Christian bout, on Tuesday, September 30. Whitefield Academy will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record. The Phoenix come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Heritage Christian (Topeka, KS).

With the loss, St. Joseph Defenders drops to 1-9 on the campaign. The Defenders travel to Shawnee Mission Christian (Shawnee Mission, KS) to clash with the Mustangs in a Midwest Christian match on Friday, October 3. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 5-8. Shawnee Mission Christian won 3-2 in their recent league match against Cornerstone Family (Topeka, KS)
