The Porter-Gaud Cyclones football team (Charleston, SC), was beaten 35-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Hammond Skyhawks (Columbia, SC)
The Skyhawks (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC). The Buccaneers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Charlotte Country Day School was beaten by Athens Academy (Athens, GA), 33-9, in a league challenge.
The Cyclones now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laurence Manning Academy for a SCISA AAA Region II challenge on Friday, September 10. Porter-Gaud will meet a Swampcats team coming off a 14-7 league loss to First Baptist School (Charleston, SC). The Swampcats record now stands at 1-1.
