The La Cueva Bears volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Volcano Vista Hawks to 1 in the Bears non-league victory on Saturday.
The Bears now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manzano for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 13. La Cueva will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs record now stands at 0-1.
The Hawks (1-1) will now prepare for their game against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs enter the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, West Mesa held off Valley (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0, in a non-league game.
