Helias Crusaders (Jefferson City, MO) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Fatima Comets (Westphalia, MO), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Helias moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Crusaders host Rolla (Rolla, MO) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 4. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 0-0.

Match Summary
In their 1st match of the 2024 Volleyball season the Helias Catholic Lady Crusaders would start on the road at Fatima High School. The Lady Sader's would jump out to a 12-4 lead in set 1, then the Lady Comets would roar back to tie the game at 14-14. Helias would bust out to a 22-15 lead, then never look back to take the win 25-16. Set 2 would start slow, with both teams making small runs, but find the Set tied at 16-16. Helias would make another strong finish by going up 20-17, then 24-19 & finally take the win 25-21. Steady serving, with consistent setting and timely kills help the Lady Sader's get the match win. As a Team, Helias would get 6 Aces but get Aced 7 times. Helias had 33 Digs, 23 Positive Service receptions, 15 Kills with 15 Assists. 32 Errors:15 Attack Errors, 10 Passing Errors & 7 Reception Errors. Helias played hard, but too many errors by Helias kept the match tight. Helias will look to reduce their total errors in their next match at Home vs. Lady Rolla Bulldogs.
