In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Appomattox County Raiders volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Amherst County Lancers.

The Raiders (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Buckingham beat Altavista (Altavista, VA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lancers meet the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Amherst County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Fighting Blues enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA).
