The Minutemen (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gretna (Gretna, VA). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.

Next, the Buffaloes meet the Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 5. Floyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Fleming (Roanoke, VA).
