The Russell County Lakers topped the host Metcalfe County Hornets volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Tuesday's non-league game.

Next up, the Lakers face the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 9. Russell County will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Falcons go into the game with a 3-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY).

The Hornets (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Clinton County (Albany, KY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 0-2 record.
