North Carolina High School Soccer - Summit Charter nudges Murphy

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Summit Charter Bears soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Murphy Bulldogs.

The Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Tri-County (Murphy, NC). The Jaguars enter the non-league outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Tri-County was edged by Polk County (Columbus, NC), 9-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A outing, on Monday, September 9. Murphy will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Maroon Devils enter the outing with a 1-4 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC).
