The Wheeler County Bulldogs softball team scored 21 runs and held the visiting First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders to 3 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Treutlen for a 1A D-II Region 4 battle on Wednesday, September 4. Wheeler County will encounter a Vikings team coming off a 9-5 league loss to Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, First Preparatory Christian Academy moves to 0-5 on the season. The Highlanders travel to McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA) to encounter the Buccaneers in a non-league battle on Monday, September 9. The Buccaneers come into the battle with a record of 4-10. McIntosh County Academy lost 12-0 in their recent league battle against Screven County (Sylvania, GA)
