The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Montgomery County Eagles to 7 in the Buccaneers non-league win on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Screven County for a 1A D-II Region 3 battle on Thursday, September 5. McIntosh County Academy will encounter a Gamecocks team coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to Statesboro (Statesboro, GA). The Gamecocks record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Montgomery County moves to 0-7 on the season. The Eagles host Hawkinsville (Hawkinsville, GA) to encounter the Red Devils in a 1A D-II Region 4 battle on Thursday, September 5. The Red Devils come into the battle with a record of 8-3. Hawkinsville won 5-2 in their recent non-league battle against Northside (Warner Robins, GA)
