The Social Circle Redskins softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Newton Rams to 1 in the Redskins non-league win on Tuesday.

The Redskins now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jasper County for a 1A D-I Region 4 battle on Wednesday, September 4. Social Circle will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 20-0 league win over Towers (Decatur, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, Newton moves to 3-12 on the season. The Rams host Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 4. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 4-3. Southwest DeKalb lost 14-1 in their recent league battle against St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta, GA)
