The Putnam City Pirates triumphed over the visiting Santa Fe South Saints softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Pirates meet the Owasso Rams (Owasso, OK) in a 6A District 3 challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Putnam City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Howell (St. Charles, MO).
The Saints (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against El Reno (El Reno, OK). The Indians enter the 5A District 1 challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, El Reno overcame Del City (Del City, OK), 13-2, in a non-league challenge.
