The Elks (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Zephyr (Zephyr, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Zephyr was beaten by Bluff Dale (Bluff Dale, TX), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bearcats meet the La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. Moody will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX).
