In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Piedmont Academy Cougars volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the First Presbyterian Day Vikings.

The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA). The Trojans come into the GIAA 6AAA challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Tattnall Square Academy was nudged by Mount de Sales Academy (Macon, GA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers (Macon, GA) in a GIAA 6AAA challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. First Presbyterian Day will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record.
