Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Owensboro Red Devils (Owensboro, KY) and the host Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), observed Owensboro's volleyball team top Hancock County by a tally of 3-0.

The Red Devils (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Apollo (Owensboro, KY). The Eagles enter the District 9 contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Apollo beat North Hardin (Radcliff, KY), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hornets meet the Cannelton Bulldogs (Cannelton, IN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 5. Hancock County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Lighthouse Christian Academy (Bloomington, IN).
