Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Hinckley-Big Rock Royals (Hinckley, IL), 2-0 in a league test.

With the win, Newark advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Norsemen travel to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL) to face the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 8-0.

The Royals now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to DeKalb for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Hinckley-Big Rock will face a Barbs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Dixon (Dixon, IL). The Barbs record now stands at 1-2.
