The Pope County Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Century for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 5. Pope County will play a Centurions team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Vienna (Vienna, IL). The Centurions record now stands at 2-1.
