North Carolina High School Volleyball - North Wilkes over West Wilkes

In Tuesday's league challenge, the host North Wilkes Vikings volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the West Wilkes Blackhawks.

The Vikings (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles come into the Foothills 2A contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Wilkes Central was knocked off by East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Blackhawks battle the North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) in a Foothills 2A contest, on Thursday, September 5. West Wilkes will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Greyhounds enter the contest with a 6-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC).
