South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Senatobia Warriors (Senatobia, MS), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, South Pontotoc improves its record to 9-8 on the season. The Cougars travel to Byhalia (Byhalia, MS) to face the Indians in a Class 4A Region 2 test on Thursday, September 5. The Indians go into the test with a record of 4-4. Byhalia won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Independence (Independence, MS)

The Warriors now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Albany for a Class 4A Region 2 test on Thursday, September 5. Senatobia will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Hickory Flat (Hickory Flat, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-7.
