St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, St. Paul improves its record to 4-3 on the season. The Swordsmen travel to Serra (Gardena, CA) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Cavaliers go into the test with a record of 0-3. Serra lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Bishop Conaty-Loretto (Los Angeles, CA)

The Warriors now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Firebaugh for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 4. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will face a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Norwalk (Norwalk, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 6-3.
