Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA) followers went home pleased Wednesday as they saw their flag football team gain a win over the visiting El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), 25-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Pinole Valley advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to De Anza (El Sobrante, CA) to play the Dons in a battle on Friday, September 5. The Dons go into the battle with a record of 1-2. De Anza lost 24-6 in their recent league battle against Bethel (Vallejo, CA)

The Gauchos now own a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bethel for a match on Saturday, September 6. El Cerrito will confront a Jaguars squad coming off a 24-6 league win over De Anza (El Sobrante, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-2.
