The crowd at Wednesday's league contest between the Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA) and the visiting Freedom Falcons (Oakley, CA), witnessed Pittsburg's flag football squad edge Freedom by a tally of 14-7.

The Pirates (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Monte Vista (Danville, CA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Monte Vista was tipped by Granada (Livermore, CA), 19-7, in a league bout.

The Falcons now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Acalanes for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4. Freedom will encounter a Dons team coming off a 34-0 non-league win over Carondelet (Concord, CA). The Dons record now stands at 2-0.
