The Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA) softball nipped the visiting Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA), 7-6 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
The Cougars now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander for a non-league outing on Monday, September 8. Newnan will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Bremen (Bremen, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Heard County moves to 1-1 on the season.
