In Wednesday's league outing, the host Highlands Highlanders soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats.

The Highlanders (1-5) will now prepare for their outing against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Yellowjackets go into the Smoky Mountain 1A/2A outing with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Hayesville edged Andrews (Andrews, NC), 1-0, in a league test.

The Bobcats now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Summit Charter for a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A test on Monday, September 8. Blue Ridge Early College will clash with a Bears team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Bears record now stands at 0-1.
