Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) and the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), saw Mount Airy's soccer squad triumph over East Wilkes by a count of 9-0.
The Granite Bears (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Sauras come into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, South Stokes toppled East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC), 2-0, in a non-league match.
The Cardinals now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host East Surry for a non-league match on Thursday, September 11.
