The Spartans (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against South Cobb (Austell, GA). The Eagles go into the 6A Region 3 bout with a 4-8 record. In their last bout, South Cobb was routed by New Manchester (Douglasville, GA), 17-7, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) in a 5A Region 5 bout, on Thursday, September 4. Kennesaw Mountain will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Spartans enter the game with a 4-8 record after their 2-1 non-league win over North Paulding (Dallas, GA).
