The Dublin Fighting Irish softball squad (Dublin, GA), was routed 12-8 in Wednesday's non-league bout with the host Treutlen Vikings (Soperton, GA)

The Vikings (9-1) will now prepare for their match against Wheeler County (Alamo, GA). The Bulldogs go into the 1A D-II Region 4 match with a 9-4 record. In their last match, Wheeler County was routed by Pierce County (Blackshear, GA), 8-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish battle the Central Chargers (Macon, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 2 match, on Thursday, September 4. Dublin will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 5-3 record after their 18-0 non-league loss to Windsor Academy (Macon, GA).
