The Portal Panthers softball team scored 10 runs and held the host Jenkins County War Eagles to 4 in the Panthers league win on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Metter for a 1A D-II Region 3 test on Thursday, September 4. Portal will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-4.

The War Eagles (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Tigers come into the 1A D-II Region 3 outing with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Claxton was routed by Metter (Metter, GA), 13-3, in a league outing.
