Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (Brooklet, GA), 7-3 in a league match.

The Blue Tide (11-2) will now prepare for their match against Liberty County (Hinesville, GA). The Panthers come into the 3A Region 3 match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, Liberty County nipped Calvary Day (Savannah, GA), 15-0, in a league game.

The Yellow Jackets now hold a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Calvary Day for a 3A Region 3 game on Thursday, September 4. Southeast Bulloch will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Liberty County (Hinesville, GA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-5.
