The Pike County Pirates triumphed over the host McIntosh Chiefs softball team by a margin of 17-4 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Pirates now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Callaway for a 2A Region 2 battle on Thursday, September 4. Pike County will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Pike County (Zebulon, GA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, McIntosh moves to 5-7 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Banneker (College Park, GA) to confront the Trojans in a 5A Region 3 battle on Thursday, September 4. The Trojans come into the battle with a record of 1-4. Banneker lost 23-10 in their recent league battle against Dutchtown (Hampton, GA)
