North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mount Airy over Alleghany

In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Alleghany Trojans.

The Granite Bears (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds come into the Northwest 3A/4A challenge with a 6-2 record.

Next, the Trojans play the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).
