In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host Elbert County Blue Devils volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Washington-Wilkes Tigers.
The Blue Devils (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Commerce (Commerce, GA). The Tigers go into the 1A Area 8 test with a 9-13 record. In their last test, Commerce gained a win over West Hall (Oakwood, GA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now sport a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rabun County for a 1A Area 8 test on Thursday, September 4. Washington-Wilkes will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Elbert County (Elberton, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-12.
