North Carolina High School Volleyball - Phoenix Academy bounced by Leadership Academy

The Phoenix Academy Firebirds volleyball squad (High Point, NC), dropped 3-0 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Leadership Academy Falcons (Kernersville, NC)

With the win, Leadership Academy improves its record to 8-1 on the season. The Falcons host Piedmont Classical (Browns Summit, NC) to meet the Bobcats in a Northwest Piedmont 1A/2A contest on Thursday, September 4. The Bobcats enter the contest with a record of 0-4. Piedmont Classical lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against New Garden Friends (Greensboro, NC)

Next, the Firebirds meet the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) in a Northwest Piedmont 1A/2A contest, on Thursday, September 4. Phoenix Academy will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Cardinals enter the contest with a 9-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Millennium (Mount Airy, NC).
