Wheeling Central Catholic will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Fighting Irish enter the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 1-0 league loss to Elkins (Elkins, WV).

The Crusaders now have a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Magnolia for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. Catholic Central will confront a Blue Eagles team coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Linsly (Wheeling, WV). The Blue Eagles record now stands at 6-6.
