In Friday's league contest, the Awaken Christian Lions (Las Vegas, NV) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Lions face the Lake Mead Academy Eagles (Henderson, NV) in a 2A South contest, on Thursday, October 6. Awaken Christian will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record.

With the loss, Needles moves to 7-5 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Lincoln County (Panaca, NV) to face the Lynx in a 2A South contest on Friday, October 7. The Lynx go into the contest with a record of 11-9. Lincoln County lost 2-0 in their recent league contest against The Meadows School (Las Vegas, NV)
