In Friday's non-league challenge, the Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) volleyball team toppled the visiting Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY), by a count of 3-1.

The Bulldogs (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Middie Bears enter the non-league challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Middletown defeated Valley Central (Montgomery, NY), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Liberty Indians (Liberty, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County III challenge, on Monday, October 3. Monticello will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Fallsburg (Fallsburg, NY).
