Texas High School Volleyball - La Marque edged by Iowa Colony

The Iowa Colony Pioneers held off the host La Marque Cougars volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's league test.

The Pioneers now have a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sweeny for a 4A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, October 4. Iowa Colony will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Brazosport (Freeport, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-16.

The Cougars (2-13) will now prepare for their test against Brazosport (Freeport, TX). The Exporters enter the 4A Region IV District 26 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Brazosport held off Sweeny (Sweeny, TX), 3-1, in a league test.
