Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Orono Riots (Orono, ME), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders confront the George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) in a Class C - North challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Washington Academy will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Mount View (Thorndike, ME).

The Riots now possess a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to George Stevens Academy for a Class C - North outing on Saturday, October 7.
