The Lafayette Fighting Irish routed the host Benton Cardinals softball squad by a final score of 13-2 in Saturday's league battle.

The Fighting Irish (12-15) will now prepare for their battle against Stanberry (Stanberry, MO). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 1-16 record. In their last battle, Stanberry was routed by Plattsburg (Plattsburg, MO), 19-6, in a non-league battle.
