Mesa Ridge Grizzlies (Colorado Springs, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Coronado Cougars (Colorado Springs, CO), 13-1 in a league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they host Mead for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Mesa Ridge will battle a Mavericks squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Silver Creek (Longmont, CO). The Mavericks record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Coronado falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Widefield (Colorado Springs, CO) to battle the Gladiators in a 4A/3A CSML South challenge on Tuesday, October 3. The Gladiators enter the challenge with a record of 11-10. Widefield won 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO)
